Nougat update for original Samsung Galaxy A5 now expected to arrive this month Feb 1st 2017, 06:44 Last month, Australian carrier Optus - in an update on its website - said that the Nougat update for the original Samsung Galaxy A5 (from 2014) is under testing and the roll out is expected sometime around end of January. Sadly, that didn't happen. However, the carrier has now once again provided a heads-up on the update, effectively saying that the roll out is now expected sometime this month. No exact date or week was mentioned, although we do hope the roll out begins sooner than later. Source
