Sony's IFA press conference to be held on August 31 Jun 29th 2017, 21:00 Sony has traditionally used both MWC in February-March and IFA in early September to launch new smartphones, and it now looks like 2017 will be no exception. Today it's been revealed that the Japanese company will in fact hold a press conference at IFA, on the eve of the trade show's official start. Sony's event will take place on August 31 at 1 PM local time. While the company itself obviously hasn't given us any details about what we should expect from the conference, a leak from last month painted a pretty clear picture - namely, that the Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact, and X1 should all debut...
